Casey's First Birthday!!!

November 22 was Casey's First Birthday!  We all got together at Lindsay and Tyson's house for the celebration and of course some yummy chocolate cake. 

 Casey at first was not too sure about the presents.  Once he figured out that there was something fun in each of the packages, he kept wanting to open more.  This car was a special one from his parents and it even has a "floor" for kids that don't know how to propel themselves yet, to put their feet on.  For the older kids who can get around easier, it comes out so that they can pedal their way around.  I think he quite liked it:)

 The cake was a cookie monster one that Tyson decorated and it looked so tasty.  

 Casey was unsure of the cake at first. He will not eat much of anything until he decides if he likes it. He tends to try a tiny piece and if it is good, he will eat more.  Doesn't go so well with vegetables but chocolate cake and ice cream are hits.

He was in heaven eating his cake.  I think he even managed to not get too much on the high chair or on the floor which means he really did like the cake.  It was a fun day and I still can't believe that he is 1 already!

Here is a little video of Casey having chocolate cake for the first time.  Watch what happens after he starts to double fist the cake.  It's almost like he is shaking his head thinking 'is this real or am I just dreaming?'  He still has very much of a sweet tooth.  We were at my parents house yesterday for dinner and Casey got his first taste of a Crave Cupcake.  He loved the icing and once he tried that, he wanted nothing more.  He definitely gets this from his Mom:)
