On last evening in Hawaii, we managed to find little Hula Show in Poipu Shopping Centre, just down the road from us. (This is also the home of the Puka Dogs, which were actually quite tasty despite being hot dogs. The yummy flavors were all in the sauces).
One of the dancers in a bright red costume. She was Max's favorite so we have quite a few pictures and videos of her. She was the best of them though too...
Casey was completely enthralled with the dancing and the drumming music. He did keep looking at Lindsay to make sure it was alright, (see video below), as he really didn't know what to expect.
Sophia is hiding on Grandpa's knee with her stuffed turtle, Sparkles. She also really enjoyed the show but wanted nothing to do with getting on stage.
I had to put this one of Sadie in. So true to her personality:)
At the end of the hula show, there was a little class to teach anyone who wanted to give it a try. Sadie was so excited to be up on stage and she did a great job of trying what the instructors were doing.
Her finishing pose was great! Partially bent over, knees together and bum out with her hands on her hips!
She would also take a peek at the girl next to her to make sure she was doing the same thing. The funnypart was that every time the girl turned, her long hair would get into Sadie's face:)
Oh my, I think they both were done with posing for pictures and just wanted to go...
For Max's sake, I added some of the footage he shot of the hula show and a little bit of Sadie's dancing too. Maybe next time we are in Hawaii, both girls will get up and do the Hula.
