Thanksgiving weekend we headed up to the cabin for some fall cleaning and relaxation. It has been a while since we were able to just relax up there but with the skunk issue mostly remedied, we were good to go. We made the largest pile of leaves and that was only half the yard! Sophia had a blast! I accidentally (or accidentally on purpose, as Max says), forgot to pack our cameras. Thankfully we were able to run into Red Deer and pick up a Flip Video. All these photos and videos, were taken with it. I think it is my new favorite toy!
How to entertain a cat? With a Princess Fishing Rod of course. Chopper loved this! Sophia was at it for quite some time and it never seemed to get old for either one of them.
I know he is in there somewhere...Chopper is our next door neighbor's cat. He is a few months old and very playful. He loves hanging out at our place with Sophia. This weekend, he had been cooped up inside his house for longer than normal and was even more rambunctious! Sophia was a little taken aback by him a couple of times but that soon passed.
Carly was out visiting her Grandpa and he let the girls, Carly and Sarah, take the golf cart for a ride. Sophia rode with them a couple of times and then in the mornings would wait at the end of our driveway until they came by. The first day, she waited almost 30 minutes! Wow, the patience...

Sophia was very proud to have picked up Chopper. She did it all on her own. It's a good thing she is so close to the ground and that cats land on their feet though...
The big girls even took a turn jumping in the leaves. At first they were a little hesitant but once they tried it once, they kept coming back. I love that Carly is holding her pants up as she jumps in so as to not get any leaves down them. Joey, the dog, was shocked the first time they jumped in. He had no idea where Sarah was and kept bouncing through the leaves to find her. I think he eventually figured out the game and was happy to be a part of it:)
